About Lauren

“Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together”

Hi, I am Lauren. I am a degree qualified naturopath and nutritionist.

My journey into natural health began with being unhealthy. During my 20s I managed bars in London. My lifestyle was indulgent and unhealthy to say the least. I had a lot of fun but eventually the late nights, long hours, drinking and unhealthy eating habits took it’s toll.

I struggled with unhealthy body image, yo-yo dieting, anxiety, insomnia, bad skin, painful periods, irritable bowel syndrome and back pain.

By my late 20s I was fed up with feeling crap most of the time so I started looking for an alternative. I took up yoga, changed my diet and cut back on alcohol. I noticed changes pretty quickly. After a few months my sleep and energy levels were improving. I was on to something, so over the following years I committed to changing my health. I took up regular exercise and I learned to cook from scratch. I made many changes to my diet and lifestyle and by my early 30s I felt like a different person.

I was tired of the city by this stage and wanted a career change. I decided I wanted to help others make the same changes I had, which led me back to Australia to study at Endeavour College of Natural Health.

I changed my life, and I understand that old habits die hard. Using my journey as inspiration, I am passionate about helping others reclaim their health.

I am interested in all areas of health, but some of the areas I am particularly passionate about are:

Gut health and digestion. Our guts really do influence the health of our whole body. You don’t have to put up with digestive discomfort, indigestion, nausea, bloating or pain. I often meet people who suspect food intolerance but are confused about how to make dietary changes. I can provide help if you would like to improve your gut health.

Stress management and mental health. Lets face it, modern life is busy and generally stressful. If you suffer from anxiety, depression or poor sleep, there are natural solutions. I combine dietary planning, lifestyle changes and nutrient and herbal supplementation to help improve mental well-being. I also believe in an integrative approach and will design a treatment plan complimenting existing medications and therapies.

Pain and inflammation. Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sports injuries, and back pain are all associated with increased inflammation. I can help you identify dietary factors which may be exacerbating your pain and recommend herbs and nutrients which reduce inflammation.

Healthy ageing strategies. Preventing age related diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease and diabetes through nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle.
